How Does It Work?

The Seamsters Club meets weekly.  If you're in Year 7 or up at school, you can join.  We encourage you to work at your own pace and tailor your learning to your sewing interests.  These are beginners classes so we don’t expect you to do anything complicated, just learn, have fun and spend time with creative people like you!  Work through our graded selection of sewing projects over three 10-week terms and learn your essential sewing skills.

Fabric and supplies

Fabric is supplied in the price.  We give you the option of bringing your own fabric for the dressmaking projects and an adjustment is made to your termly fee to reflect this.

Sewing machines and basic sewing equipment such as needles, scissors and tape measures are supplied.

Haberdashery, eg  thread, buttons and zips,  is included in the price of classes.

Places are limited (8 max) to make sure you get the most out of the classes.  Places must be booked in advance.
